I'm unmuted, but I don't think you can hear me. I got a message that I was muted by the presenter.
Dr. Jason Rehfeldt
Jason Rehfeldt, Student Services Coordinator, D86. What up, Johanna and Dana!
Lori, you need to unmute me.
Elsa Aguilar, SECA, Yates School
Hi Ms Aguilar! Ms O'Day here
Lori, it won't let me unmute myself anymore
It says the host is not allowing participants to unmute themselfs
As in other trainings, will the PPT be available
Tood, Lori mentioned in the beginning that once you filled out something after the webinar, you will get a PDF of the slides
Hi, someone needs to turn off mic still.
We lost Patricia
Can't hear you
We can now
Now we can
yes we can
Your back on now
Yes, please ask everyone to put themselves on mute
Sorry if this was already asked/answered, but will we have access to this PPT afterwards?
I am brand new to school systems, coming from career in law enforcement/military and fairly new LCSW. Any suggestions or resources...being in very rural mountains of Nevada, the ONLY clinician in our district and creating a wellbeing/SEL program
Dr. Jason Rehfeldt
casel.org; Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence (YCEI) and their RULER program
Lots of good information here Todd https://www.nctsn.org/resources/all-nctsn-resources
@Todd here's another pretty comprehensive resource for multiple grade levels, that's also totally free https://www.overcomingobstacles.org/curriculum
Self-regulation skills through coregulation
All of them!
all of the above
all of them!
All of the above
all of them
All of them
I cant pick just one
Positive teacher engagement
Physical and psychological safety as a foundation
If anyone uses Conscious Discipline, they do something similar with well wishes
I often end groups with taking a moment to express something they appreciate about the person next to them
I Make A Difference Ribbons
hunt the good stuff
Have students to create thankful links where they write what they are thankful for and then link them together to create a paper chain
Thank you notes
Gratitude Works program. We have students write letters of gratitude right before Thanksgiving break and then have a student share their letter of gratitude in front of the school.
Having a gratitude or acknowledgement wall for staff members to thank / praise other staff members for something they've done
I always ask students to think of 3 things they are thankful for while in the shower every am
Encourage students to write what they are grateful for about themselves every day on social media and hashtag it for a class activity (for older students)
We have a school app called YouUplift where students and staff can express gratitude
I do gratitude at home with a timer that goes off every evening at the same time, but I haven't incorporated gratitude activities for students in a systematic way.
John Hopkins has been doing free PFA
Educators Self care--when they don't see their own hijack
YES through COURSERA
@rscott-- can you tell me more about YouUpLift?
What about Educators --when they don't see their own hijack, or
We have used it for a kindness wall and it is also an app that all students and staff have access to, check out the website. All digital.
send the incorrigible student, as THE problem
Hi will this session be available after this presentation? I logged in late. Can I receive an email of the recording?
Hi Tiffany, we will be uploading the recorded webinar to our website. It will be located under the resources tab.
Ok thank you!
How does that look virtual?
Good question Raegen. Would take a decent amount of coordination between teachers, making a digital CICO slip via a Google Doc or something, etc. Would be doable, but definitely a decent amount of coordination needed to pull it off
Some educators said they could do CBITS with their kids...
is there a high school version or comparable program?
Any suggestions to address?
I use CBITS/Bounceback in my district. We've used it for several years. At the HS level our staff often use SPARKS instead
Implementing CBITS and/or Bounceback is a pretty substantial undertaking, but they are solid programs.
Ron Huxley has a good 101
Sounds good, thank you
I'd like to continue
Thank you!!!This was GREAT
Sounds good let’s go
The webinar will be posted at: https://ilmtss.net/resources/webinars
The resource list will be posted with the recording on our website
Thank you! Is there a quiz that we’re doing at the end?
strengthen Tier 1: help teachers to build emotional vocabulary and normalize reactions in their students. Support teachers
Focusing on the gratitude piece will be critical so I will encourage that during our SEL time
I like the idea of using newspaper story format to use as trauma narrative
I want to check out Establish-Maintain-Restore as a resource for teachers and Bounce Back for counseling
Encouraging togetherness, reestablishing routines, safety
Supporting our parents by maintaining open lines of communications
Trauma-focused cognitive-Behavior Therapy-interested in the free training
Work with staff on recognizing our own reactions to chronic stress, provide a group for students identified as needing additional stress reduction techniques.
I think that we could incorporate gratitude during a mindful minute time.
Very helpful thorough-thank you
Great job pushing through
Will we get a certificate of completion for PD?
Will there be a PowerPoint? I'd love to share this presentation.
Thanks once again. Have a great day
Hi, Patricia! Great presentation as always.
Agian thank you-time well spent
